Our Doncaster based client is currently looking for someone to join their team as a Purchasing Assistant.
The ideal candidate will become a key member of a purchasing team and will ensure that the business maintains and adequate supply of the necessary materials. They will also organise materials, manage the inventory and help in the negotiating of the best prices.
Job duties will include:
Keeping up to date on the companies needs to enable you to order supplies when necessary.
Perform comparison and negotiations to secure lower prices on materials the company needs.
Seek out high-quality products that will help the company operate smoothly.
Operate as a key member of the purchasing team.
Prepare reports and communicate with management about offered prices on products to obtain final approval for purchases.
Look for ways to cut back on the companies’ expenses.
Keys Skills and Qualifications required:
Previous Purchasing experience is necessary
Basic Maths skills
Excellent negotiation and communication
Work well under tight deadlines and under pressure
Work well as a team
Salary will depend on experience.
