Bailey Employment Services are recruiting a Quality Assurance Technician for our client on the outskirts of Goole on a permanent basis.

Main Purpose of role:

• Ensure the company’s quality standards and objectives are met
• Support the Quality Manager in all matters relating to Quality, Food Safety and Legal Compliance which includes supporting the site crisis management team where necessary
• Engage closely with operators and production staff to improve and drive quality standards
• Provide input into deviation investigation and corrective action plans to participate in initiatives and continuous improvement to deliver quality improvements that will increase the site’s quality and BRC standards
• Collect, check, retain and catalogue samples for storage and shelf life and maintain sample stores and communicate findings of quality inspections to the production and technical teams
• Completion of Internal audits including GMP audits, glass and brittle plastic, hygiene etc.
• Carry out appropriate training when required by your manager

Qualifications/Knowledge & Skills:

• A highly motivated, determined and enthusiastic individual with a methodical approach with desire to do things right
• A firm but friendly attitude and proactive can do approach with excellent inter-personal skills and good influencing and impact skills
• The ability and resilience to thrive in a pressurised environment, prioritising workload to ensure delivery of a professional service to the business
• PC literate with experience of Microsoft Office Suite

• Experience in a Technical role in a fast paced Food/FMCG environment

Pay, Benefits and Hours:

• Weekly rotating shift pattern of Monday to Friday 6am-2pm and 2pm to 10pm
• Salary of £24000 - £26500 subject to skills and experience
