Our client who is a provider of specialist recycling and waste management based near Selby, is looking for a Site Team Leader on a temporary to permanent basis who can supervise and assist with the following activities: -

Ensure that the yard organisation and tidiness is always maintained
Taking receipt of waste consignments onto the site and ensuring safe, effective loading & unloading & tipping of materials
Carry out preventative maintenance, maintenance repairs and daily maintenance inspections on the machines used
Ensure all checklists for machinery are correctly filled in and take actions when necessary.
Carry out inspections of equipment and completion of relevant documentation
Recognise and assist in the improvement in all aspects of health and safety on the site as well as ensuring that all health & safety rules of the site are followed and enforced
Ensure and enforce the Permit to Work system
To cover the weighbridge operation during non-office hours or when the weighbridge is un-manned.
Deal promptly and effectively with problems within your control and report those that cannot be solved, or outside your permitted authority.
Any other task deemed necessary by site management for the safe and productive operation of the site.

  • 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday)
